This is Lanie! Not just another senior, but the daughter of a friend of mine (and a very cool person in her own right). We did her senior pictures at a couple different locations around Spokane (click here for the a gallery of my favorite photographs). We did several different industrial locations, and then ended up a little park, just as twilight hit. My friend and another friend were there, and they were kind of watching us, but also racing around with Marcus on the grass behind me. It was one of those moments that I love about what I do: the sky was gorgeous, Lanie looked perfect, her dress was brilliant against the background. It was warm. And quiet, except for the distant sound of my son laughing. And the river. And when everything comes together like that, there really is no need for anything besides that moment. No need for a past or a future. Just a “now” that is so is rich and beautiful and perfect.
